About Camp X Tours by FRC
History, storytelling and exploration — on the ground where Canada’s secret war was fought.

Who we are
Camp X Tours by FRC brings together history, storytelling, and exploration under the direction of Rich Prince and Free Runnerz Club.
Through guided experiences, media, and branded collections, we invite visitors to discover the story of Camp X and connect with our wider network of creative and community initiatives.
Camp X — Special Training School No. 103 — opened in December 1941 on the Lake Ontario shore between Whitby and Oshawa. It trained Allied agents for covert work behind enemy lines and housed Hydra, a vital Allied communications station. Today the site is Intrepid Park.

Every tour, every story and every piece we make starts here — with the agents, radio operators and staff who served at Camp X during the Second World War.

Your guide
Rich Prince — Richard Carl Peart — has been immersed in the lore of Camp X since his middle-school years.
A historian and storyteller, and the driving force behind Free Runnerz Club, Rich leads every Camp X experience himself — weaving together the espionage, the covert training and the spirit of the operatives who trained here. For Rich, each tour is a tribute to the veterans who passed through these grounds.
Beyond the tours, he creates films and visual stories through Rich Prince Media and supports leaders and creative projects through Rich Prince Consultation.
In 2015 the Office of the Mayor of Oshawa issued a letter of recognition for Richard Peart’s community involvement, including his work on a project to develop the Camp X lands between Whitby and Oshawa.

The Camp X FRC universe
Not every Camp X story is history. In our comic universe, Rich Prince suits up as the hero of Camp X FRC — the same spirit you’ll find on the tours and in the collection.
